May 22, 2008 - I personally was jumping for joy when I was watching David Cook be the next American Idol. I think he deserved it. Yet, no one thought he was going to win. Just because of all the cutesy teen age girls who loved Archie. But hey, 12 million votes? Wowee. David cook, you are loved dear. Good luck with your career, you will do amazing :).

May 27, 2008 - Mr. McQuilkin,you are very biased, I must say.David Cook out performed Archie every week.David Cook is very gracious and very humble and Archie knows the best person won. He has been outspoken about it,knowing that Cook was someone he was impressed with and looked forward to his performances every week,like everyone else.David Cook has the intelligence, the stage presence, songwriting background and experience to carry far,not including that fact he went to school everday and graduated college.

May 27, 2008 - Yes David Cook is Now acting very gracious and humble and Archie is Now saying what any second place finisher says. WE wouldn't expect anything less. Clearly they are both good people. Archie was consistent every week. David Cook while there were weeks he did very well, often to me and my colleagues he sounded like he was screaming through the lyrics. David Archuletas voice was always pleasant with out the forced vocals.

Jul 2, 2008 - I really did like Cook but I loved Archie. It took awhile for me to like Cook though. He seemed very stuck up during Hollywood week and the first few shows. Archuleta was always very humble and modest and thankful to be there. Idk it seemed like it took awhile for Cook to realize how lucky he was.
